Our Services

ASAM Alcohol & Drug Evaluations

  • Each evaluation begins with a comprehensive interview with one of our evaluators. During the interview, the evaluator will cover a range of personal questions including substance use, family history, trauma and abuse, and cognitive functioning. We advise our clients who are needing the interview to be conducted in a community based setting to secure a space that is private allowing for the most accurate exchange of information.

  • Once the evaluator has completed the interview process, Beacon Hill will provide a formal, individualized evaluation based on the ASAM Criteria: Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions, 3rd Edition and the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th Edition, as well as to recommend the appropriate level of clinical treatment as determined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine, The ASAM Criteria: Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions, 3rd Edition.

  • If a client is not able to meet at our NE Portland or Oregon City offices, a Beacon Hill evaluator will conduct the interview portion of the evaluation in a location convenient for the client including, but not limited to, correctional facilities, law firms, and outreach locations.

  • Pricing: Please contact us directly for pricing. If submitting a funding request through the Federal e-voucher System or the Office of Public Defense Services please contact our office directly to schedule the mental health or ASAM evaluation for your client.

Cancellation Policy

It is the responsibility of the client to attend their scheduled appointment. If the client needs to reschedule their appointment, the client must provide a 24-hour cancellation notice. Beacon Hill providers will allow a 15-minute grace period for clients to arrive for their scheduled appointment. If a client is more than 15 minutes late for their appointment, the client may need to reschedule with the provider for a later time. If the client fails to attend their appointment, they will need to reschedule the appointment within thirty (30) calendar days of the initial missed appointment. Should a client not reschedule and attend their appointment within thirty (30) calendar days a No Show fee will then be submitted, and the referral source will need to submit a new funding request for services, if still needed.
