Additional Information

Information about the Ignition Interlock Device (IID) program can be found at ospiid@osp.oregon.gov. You may choose any company that is certified in Oregon. If you are out of state, you must use an Oregon approved company to comply with DMV requirements.

Please contact the DMV to find out how long your license has been suspended, to get information about a hardship permit, or to learn more about ID exemptions. Please be advised you are required by law to have an Ignition Interlock Device with a camera installed in your vehicle for the entire length of your Diversion. It is not recommended to allow anyone else to drive a car once your Ignition Interlock Device is installed.

If you are unable to install an Ignition Interlock Device for any reason including inability to pay, Oregon law states that you are not legally able to drive, even with a valid license. The only exception is if you have been granted an Ignition Interlock Device exemption.
